We all know that many kids and teenagers around the world, boys as well as girls, like to play online games. However, you might be surprised to discover that also adults like to play online games regularly, in every free minute they have! A person who plays online games is called a gamer.

Online gaming is a general name for many games that are played online. Those are mostly video games that require a connection to the internet; this way players from different parts of the world can play with each other online and even talk to each other in any language they choose.

Online games include a wide variety of games with different levels – some of them combine special graphics and illustrations of virtual characters and some are based on complex strategies that require a deep understanding of the game.

The fact that these games can be played by many players adds to their attraction. Many people like the competitive part of the game as well as “meeting” and “talking” to different people around the world. They say that this way they feel connected to others. However, when they play with their actual home friends, they say they even enjoy it more.
